Wow. So i was reluctant to look at this shoot as its McQ's final collection. You can't pick favourites with McQueen so I've chosen the ones that spark my love for High Fashion.
After spending the early part of his career in Paris, McQueen has always stated he had a love and admiration for Azzedine Alaia. Alaia himself was a genius of the late 80's early 90's. Clothing Naomi, Claudia, Linda and the girls in Cracking, Iconic attire. Most of which was responsible for making me as a child interested in "Fashion". McQueen stated in his last Drapers interview that "i wanted to bring sexy back. It's whats missing right now. And Alaia was sexy for me. it was classy sex".
There no doubt in my mind that he has most definitely brought sexy back and done everyone proud. What a legacy to leave. I can't think of anymore to write, the garments speak for themselves.
